The Right Start-All Breed Challenge is set up for anyone to participate in. It emphasizes the purpose of starting your horse in a controlled and easy environment and more emphasis on natural talent and ability. This program is for your younger horse that you want to show. Each horse will be judged on its own merits. English or Western entries are welcome. You can do it!

A $50 nomination due the day of the show will give the exhibitor the chance to win over $1,000 in cash and prizes. In 2011 we will have a non-pro/youth division within the class. Any pre-entry 30 days before the show will give you an ad for you farm or your horse if it is for sale. You will be added to the entry list. A great selling point.

If you have any questions how to get involved as an exhibitor, a show sponsor, or industry builder please email us, info@NRSABC.com (National Right Start-All Breed Challenge).

Owner/Exhibitor Benefits
Today's owner and exhibitor is looking for a hands-on experience with their own horse. An average horse's life span can extend well into their 20s many into their 30s. With a healthy right start, a horse's show career can be extended as well. The All Breed Challenge will provide an affordable venue for a new or seasoned show person to enter the ring with confidence.

The National Right Start All Breed Challenge will:
  • Create a venue for any owner of a young registered performance horse. Even the newest exhibitor will have the opportunity win over $1,000 in cash and prizes; 1st Place~$1,000, 2nd Place~$700, 3rd Place~$400, 4th Place~$200 plus trophies and incentive money added by the local shows and sponsors. More cash and placings will be added as the entries grow.

  • The Grassroots Exhibitors can do it (train and show) themselves
  • Provide an educational site to ask questions of trainers, as the owners work with their young performance prospects, including how to choose the right horse
  • Keep fees and entries affordable to exhibitors and owners
  • Add value to their horse by going through the National Right Start program
By keeping entry fees affordable and maneuvers basic, we are able to include more people and provide a stress free venue for horses and handlers.

Breeders!
The National Right Start All Breed Challenge will give someone a reason to buy a young prospect. By giving the new owner a structured hands on involvement through showing, we are creating a market for young performance prospects. We have a package that will let you as a breeder include any entry by your stallion an entry into the class.

The National Right Start All Breed Challenge will:
  • Create a market for good registered foals, yearlings, and 2 yr olds
  • Put your young performance horses in the ring as yearlings
  • Give the new horse owner a reason to purchase a young registered prospect from a breeder
  • Build the equine market with a solid program
By giving the younger performance horses the right start in their early show career, we can build respect and goodwill with our own clients. The National Right Start also has a program where the breeder can 'pay it forward' for the new owner's entry fee. It will give you an ad that will be distributed nationally on this site with a link to your site and breeding program. The increased potential of the horse that has completed the National Right Start Program becomes even more valuable to a perspective buyer.

POSITION ON ANIMAL WELFARE
The National Right Start-All Breed Challenge is committed to the humane and proper treatment of all animals. In this respect: The welfare of the
horse is the primary consideration in all activities.
• Horses will be treated with kindness, respect and compassion at all times.
• Responsible care will be used by all parties in handling, treatment and transportation of horses.
• Horsemen and women as owners, exhibitors or trainers will ensure the health and well being of animals in their care at all times.
The standard by which conduct or treatment will be measured is that which a reasonable person informed and experienced in generally accepted animal husbandry standard and equine care, training and exhibition procedure would determine to be neither cruel, abusive nor inhumane. Based on our beleifs and principles, we will encourage any affliation to enforce strict rules to ensure ethical competition and humane treatment of all horses. We support the development of procedures that assure equity, fairness, safety, health and welfare for participants.
